One of the most restrictive undertakings for the new or inexperienced inspector is getting affordable Error and Omission coverage. In the U.S. "pay per inspection" coverage is available and up until now, it was not possible to get this type of coverage in Canada.

I set out, nearly one year ago, to see if any Canadian Insurance Brokers were interested in covering this market for our members. This was a task that took a lot of time and effort, as you can well imagine, but I did manage to get a serious consideration from Tony Davis of Axis Insurance in Vancouver.

In order to get some rates for E&O, Tony needs to get our experience and for those of our fellow inspectors who are interested in receiving this, I would ask that you fill out the attached .pdf form (click on the previous to download) and return it directly to Tony tdavis@axisinsurance.ca or fax it to (604) 731-3137

Once we receive the forms, we'll be able to crunch some numbers and establish some rates for affordable insurance.

Un des plus grands défis d'un nouvel inspecteur ou d'un inspecteur inexpérimenté est de se doter d'un régime d'assurance E&O abordable. Contrairement à ce qui est disponible aux É.-U., l'assurance E&O «par inspection» n'est toujours pas à notre portée au Canada.

Il y a bientôt un an, j'ai entrepris la tâche de scruter les divers fournisseurs à travers le pays et après plusieurs efforts, ai trouvé la Cie. Axis Assurance de Vancouver et Tony Davis. Tony et moi avons collaboré depuis à brosser un tableau d'un tel plan et pour établir les taux, il nous est nécessaire de connaître l'expérience des intéressés.

À cet escient, les intéressés n'ont qu'à compléter le formulaire ci joint (cliquez ici pour le télécharger) et le retourner à Tony tdavis@axisinsurance.ca  or expédiez une télécopie à (604) 731-3137

Une fois reçus, il nous sera alors possible d'établir une échelle de taux pour un régime d'assurance aborbable.
